§158.653. Other benefits.

In alignment with salary administration under § 158.622, leave administration under § 158.651, and work scheduling under § 158.705, the Department provides benefits, including retirement, health benefits, and insurance programs, to a DHS-CS employee under this section and in accordance with 5 U.S.C. Chapters 81-90 and 5 CFR parts 831 and 838-894.

The Department administers the benefits of an annuitant appointed to a qualified position in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 8344, 5 U.S.C. 8468, 5 CFR 553.203, or 5 CFR part 837, as applicable.

The Department provides a transportation subsidy to a DHS-CS employee under this section and in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 7905.
