§4.783. When and how may a presiding officer's decision or order be appealed?

When.
A person wishing to appeal a presiding officer's decision or order listed in § 4.781 must file a written notice of appeal with the Board in accordance with § 4.310 within 30 days of the date of issuance of the decision or order. The Board will dismiss any appeal not filed by this deadline.
Within 30 days after filing the notice of appeal, the appellant must also file with the Board, in accordance with § 4.310, a statement of reasons why the presiding officer's decision or order is in error.
How. Both the notice of appeal and statement of reasons must be signed by the appellant, the appellant's attorney, or other qualified representative as provided in 43 CFR 1.3 of this subtitle, and must be filed with the Board by electronic transmission, mail, commercial courier, or hand delivery, in accordance with § 4.310(b).
