§139.16. Desalination and purification systems.
40 C.F.R. § 139.16
The requirements in paragraph (b) of this section apply to discharges from onboard desalination and purification systems used to generate freshwater from seawater or otherwise purify water.
The discharge resulting from the cleaning of desalination and purification systems with toxic or hazardous materials is prohibited.
