§1236.30. Requirements for digitizing temporary records.
36 C.F.R. § 1236.30
If an agency intends to digitally reproduce (digitize) temporary records in order to use the digitized records in place of the source records, the agency must:
Digitize the record to the standards in § 1236.32;
Validate the digitization according to § 1236.34; and
Manage the digital records according to the requirements in subparts A, B, and C of this part.
When an agency disposes of source records, the agency must follow the requirements in § 1236.36.
