America COMPETES Reauthorization Act of 2015

AN ACT

To provide for technological innovation through the prioritization of Federal investment in basic research, fundamental scientific discovery, and development to improve the competitiveness of the United States, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title; table of contents

(a)
Short title— This Act may be cited as the “America COMPETES Reauthorization Act of 2015”.
(b)
Table of contents— The table of contents for this Act is as follows:

Sec. 2 Definitions

In this Act—
(1)
the term “STEM” means the subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics;
(2)
the term “STEM education” means education in the subjects of STEM, including computer science; and
(3)
the term “Committee on STEM Education” means the Committee on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education established under section 101 of the America COMPETES Reauthorization Act of 2010 (42 U.S.C. 6621).
