§761.53. Interest bearing accounts.

7 C.F.R. § 761.53

(a)
A supervised bank account, if possible, will be established as an interest bearing deposit account provided that the funds will not be immediately disbursed, and the account is held jointly by the borrower and the Agency if this arrangement will benefit the borrower.
(b)
Interest earned on a supervised bank account will be treated as normal income security.
