§51.1402. U.S. Choice.
7 C.F.R. § 51.1402
“U.S. Choice” consists of pecans in the shell which meet the following requirements:
Free from loose extraneous or foreign material.
Shells are—
Fairly uniform in color; and
Free from damage by any cause.
Kernels are—
Not poorly developed;
Well cured;
Moisture content shall be not more than 6 percent, unless otherwise specified;
Fairly uniform in color;
Not darker than “amber,” unless specified to a lighter color classification; and
Free from damage by any cause.
