Traps. Traps are the only fishing gear authorized in directed fishing for golden crab in the South Atlantic EEZ. Golden crab in or from the South Atlantic EEZ may not be retained on board a vessel possessing or using unauthorized gear.
Buoy line or mainline. Rope is the only material allowed to be used for a buoy line or mainline attached to a golden crab trap.
