§29.91. What should I do before filing an application?

50 C.F.R. § 29.91

You should participate in a pre-application meeting with the Service to allow for an early exchange of information between you and the Service with the intent of avoiding delays in your application process.
(a)
For the meeting, you should provide—
(1)
Documentation demonstrating that you hold the legal right to operate on Service-administered lands or waters; and
(2)
An overview of your proposed operation and timing.
(b)
The Service will provide guidance on the permitting process and information on available resource data, and identify additional data needs.
