§335.102. Agency authority to promote, demote, or reassign. — Inbound Citations

  • (d) An agency may take actions under § 335.102 of this chapter to place a permanent competitive service employee into a vacancy if there are no CTAP eligible employees in the local commuting area or if no CTAP eligibles apply for the vacancy.
  • (a) A position change authorized by § 335.102 does not change the competitive status of an employee.
  • (a) Except as otherwise specifically authorized by OPM, an agency may make promotions under § 335.102 of this part only to positions for which the agency has adopted and is administering a program designed to insure a systematic means of selection for promotion according to merit. These programs shall conform to the requirements of this section.
