§227.213. Employee's responsibilities.
49 C.F.R. § 227.213
An employee to whom the railroad provides an EEBA shall—
Participate in training under § 227.209;
Follow railroad procedures to ensure that the railroad's EEBAs—
Are maintained in a secure and accessible manner;
Are inspected as required by this subpart and the railroad's program of inspection; and
If found to be unserviceable upon inspection, are turned in to the appropriate railroad facility for repair, periodic maintenance, or replacement; and
Notify the railroad of EEBA failures and of use incidents in a timely manner.
No employee shall willfully tamper with or vandalize an EEBA that is provided pursuant to § 227.201(a) in an attempt to disable or damage the EEBA.
