§36.01-1. Scope of regulations—TB/ALL.

The regulations in this part contain requirements for the transportation in bulk of materials considered to be Grade E liquids when shipped in molten form at elevated temperatures.
The materials covered by this part shall meet the applicable regulations of this subchapter, except that materials having a flash point of 300 °F. or above, shall be exempt from the requirements prescribed in the following sections of this subchapter:
Inspection prior to making repairs— § 35.01-1(b).
Watchman for a tank vessel— § 35.05-15.
Warning sign at gangway— § 35.30-1(b).
Cargo tank hatches, ullage holes and Butterworth plates— § 35.30-10.
Men on duty— § 35.35-1.
Inspection prior to transfer of cargo— § 35.35-20.
Approval to start transfer of cargo— § 35.35-25.
“Declaration of inspection” for tank ships—§ 35.35-30.
Transportation of other cargo or stores on tank barges— § 35.35-60.
The regulations governing the transportation in the solid state of materials referred to in § 36.01-1(a) are contained in part 148 of subchapter N (Dangerous Cargoes) of this chapter.
