§169.253. Miscellaneous systems and equipment.

At each inspection for certification and periodic inspection all items in the ship's outfit, such as ground tackle, navigation lights, compass, etc., which are required to be carried by the regulations in this subchapter are examined and tested as necessary to determine that they are fit the service intended.
Approved work vests, where carried, are inspected as provided in § 169.556.
