§162.161-8. Marking.
46 C.F.R. § 162.161-8
The following information must be displayed on a permanent metal or pressure-sensitive nameplate attached to each agent storage cylinder/valve assembly:
Manufacturer's name, address, and telephone number;
Coast Guard approval number assigned to the system under 46 CFR 159.005-13;
Identifying mark of the laboratory;
Reference to the laboratory's listing standard;
Type of extinguishing agent;
Operating pressure at 70 °Fahrenheit;
Storage temperature range;
Factory test pressure of the cylinder;
Reference to the manufacturer's marine design, installation, operation, and maintenance manual;
Weight of agent charge and gross weight of cylinder/valve assembly;
Minimum maintenance instructions; and
Any other information required by the laboratory or another government agency.
