§160.255-17. Marking and labeling.

Each lifejacket must be marked with the appropriate label as specified in Figure 6DV of ANSI/CAN/UL 12402-4 (incorporated by reference, see § 160.255-5).
The Commandant may prescribe additional marking requirements for special purpose devices or unique or novel designs.
