§11.1007. Basis for denial.

46 C.F.R. § 11.1007

An applicant for a “Certificate attesting recognition” of an officer certificate issued by another party must—
(a)
Have no record of material disciplinary actions during employment on any U.S. flag vessel of the employer, as verified in writing by the owner or managing operator of the U.S. flag vessels on which the applicant will be employed; and
(b)
Have successfully completed an employer-conducted background check, to the satisfaction of both the employer and the Coast Guard.
