§1149.54. Are there sanctions for misconduct?
45 C.F.R. § 1149.54
The ALJ may sanction a person, including any party or representative, as outlined in § 1149.55, for the following:
Failing to comply with an order, rule, or procedure governing the proceeding;
Failing to prosecute or defend an action; or
Engaging in other misconduct that interferes with the speedy, orderly, and fair conduct of a hearing.
Any sanction issued under this section must reasonably relate to the severity and nature of the misconduct.
