The regulations of this subpart are issued under the authority of the statutes cited in § 3400.0-3 of this title.
These regulations primarily implement section 2(a)(1) of the Mineral Leasing Act of 1920, as amended by section 2 of the Act of October 30, 1978 (30 U.S.C. 201(a)(1)).
