§20.403. Certificates of disclaimer.
43 C.F.R. § 20.403
Each employee of the U.S. Geological Survey, Bureau of Land Management, Minerals Management Service, and Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement shall sign a certificate of disclaimer upon entrance to or upon transfer to a position within any of these bureaus. The employee's signature will indicate that he or she:
Is aware of the specific restrictions pertinent to his or her employment; and
Is in compliance with such restrictions.
If an employee is unable to sign the certificate, he or she must submit a statement of facts to the appropriate ethics counselor for review and appropriate action.
Signed certificates of disclaimer shall be filed and maintained by the employee's deputy ethics counselor.
