§84.29. Destruction of regulated substances.

The following technologies are approved by the Administrator for destruction of all regulated substances except for HFC-23:
Cement kiln;
Gaseous/fume oxidation;
Liquid injection incineration;
Porous thermal reactor;
Reactor cracking;
Rotary kiln incineration;
Argon plasma arc;
Nitrogen plasma arc;
Portable plasma arc;
Chemical reaction with hydrogen and carbon dioxide;
Gas phase catalytic de-halogenation; and
Superheated steam reactor.
The following technologies are approved by the Administrator for destruction of HFC-23—
Gaseous/fume oxidation;
Liquid injection incineration;
Reactor cracking;
Rotary kiln incineration;
Argon plasma arc;
Nitrogen plasma arc;
Chemical reaction with hydrogen and carbon dioxide; and
Superheated steam reactor.
