§751.705. Prohibition of Certain Industrial and Commercial Uses and Manufacturing, Processing, and Distribution in Commerce of Carbon Tetrachloride for those Uses. — Inbound Citations

(a) The provisions of this section apply to the following conditions of use of carbon tetrachloride, including manufacturing and processing for export, except to the extent the conditions of use are prohibited by § 751.705:

(3) Processing as a reactant in the production of hydrochlorofluorocarbons, hydrofluorocarbons, hydrofluoroolefins and perchloroethylene.

(4) Incorporation into formulation, mixture, or reaction products for agricultural products manufacturing, vinyl chloride manufacturing, and other basic organic and inorganic chemical manufacturing.

(5) Repackaging for use as a laboratory chemical.

(6) Recycling.

(7) Industrial and commercial use as an industrial processing aid in the manufacture of agricultural products and vinyl chloride.

(8) Industrial and commercial use in the elimination of nitrogen trichloride in the production of chlorine and caustic soda and the recovery of chlorine in tail gas from the production of chlorine.
