§63.7293. What work practice standards must I meet for fugitive pushing emissions if I have a nonrecovery coke oven battery?
40 C.F.R. § 63.7293
You must meet the requirements in paragraphs (a)(1) and (2) of this section for each new and existing nonrecovery coke oven battery.
You must visually inspect each oven prior to pushing by opening the door damper and observing the bed of coke.
Do not push the oven unless the visual inspection indicates that there is no smoke in the open space above the coke bed and that there is an unobstructed view of the door on the opposite side of the oven.
As provided in § 63.6(g), you may request to use an alternative to the work practice standard in paragraph (a) of this section.
