§35.270. Purpose.

40 C.F.R. § 35.270

(a)
Purpose of section. Sections 35.270 through 35.278 govern Lead-Based Paint Program Grants to States (as defined in section 3 of the Toxic Substances Control Act), under section 404(g) of the Act.
(b)
Purpose of program. Lead-Based Paint Program Grants are awarded to develop and carry out authorized programs to ensure that individuals employed in lead-based paint activities are properly trained; that training programs are accredited; and that contractors employed in such activities are certified.
(c)
Associated program regulations. Associated program regulations are found in 40 CFR part 745.
