§51.440. Dietary services.

38 C.F.R. § 51.440

The State home must comply with the requirements concerning the dietary services set forth in § 51.140, except paragraph 51.140(f). For purposes of this section, the references in the cited section to resident refer to a participant in subpart F of this part. The State home adult day health care program will provide nourishment to participants on the following schedule:
(a)
At regular times comparable to normal mealtimes in the community, each participant may receive and program management must provide at least two meals daily for those veterans staying more than four hours and at least one meal for those staying less than four hours.
(b)
The program management must offer snacks and fluids as appropriate to meet the participants' nutritional and fluid needs.
