§1235.12. When must agencies transfer records to the National Archives of the United States?
36 C.F.R. § 1235.12
Permanent records must be transferred to the National Archives of the United States when:
The records are eligible for transfer based on the transfer date specified in a NARA-approved records schedule, or
The records have been in existence for more than 30 years (see also § 1235.14).
