§668.32. Student eligibility. — Inbound Citations

  • (a) The student satisfies the general student eligibility requirements under § 668.32, except for the requirements in paragraphs (a), (e), and (f) of that section. With regard to these exceptions, a student—
    (1) Does not have to be enrolled for the purpose of obtaining a degree or certificate;

  • (i) Attending a synchronous class, lecture, recitation, or field or laboratory activity, physically or online, where there is an opportunity for interaction between the instructor and students;
    (ii) Submitting an academic assignment;
    (iii) Taking an assessment or an exam;
    (iv) Participating in an interactive tutorial, webinar, or other interactive computer-assisted instruction;
    (v) Participating in a study group, group project, or an online discussion that is assigned by the institution; or
    (vi) Interacting with an instructor about academic matters; and

  • (a) The student satisfies the general student eligibility requirements under § 668.32, except for the requirements in paragraphs (a), (e), and (f) of that section. With regard to these exceptions, a student—
    (1) Does not have to be enrolled for the purpose of obtaining a degree or certificate;

  • (8) In the case of any student who seeks a loan but does not have a certificate of graduation from a school providing secondary education or the recognized equivalent of such a certificate, the student meets the requirements under 34 CFR part 668.32(e).
  • (A) (1) Reported not having a high school diploma or its equivalent; and
    (2) Did not satisfy the alternative to graduation from high school requirements in 34 CFR 668.32(e) and section 484(d) of the Act that were in effect at the time the loan was certified, as applicable;
  • (B) Did not satisfy the alternative to graduation from high school requirements under section 484(d) of the Act and 34 CFR 668.32(e) of this chapter that were in effect when the loan was originated;

  • (v) In the case of a student who was enrolled in a program of study prior to July 1, 2012 and who seeks a loan but does not have a certificate of graduation from a school providing secondary education or the recognized equivalent of such a certificate, the student meets the requirements under 34 CFR 668.32(e)(2), (3), (4), or (5).

  • (v) In the case of a student who was enrolled in a program of study prior to July 1, 2012 and who seeks a loan but does not have a certificate of graduation from a school providing secondary education or the recognized equivalent of such a certificate, the student meets the requirements under 34 CFR 668.32(e)(2), (3), (4), or (5).
