§646.33. What are the matching requirements for a grantee that uses Student Support Services program funds for student grant aid?
34 C.F.R. § 646.33
Except for grantees described in paragraph (b) of this section, a grantee that uses Student Support Services program funds for grant aid to eligible students described in § 646.30(i) must—
Match the Federal funds used for grant aid, in cash, from non-Federal funds, in an amount that is not less than 33 percent of the total amount of Federal grant funds used for Grant aid; and
Use no more than 20 percent of the Federal program funds awarded the grantee each year for grant aid.
A grant recipient that is an institution of higher education eligible to receive funds under part A or B of title III or title V of the HEA, as amended, is not required to match the Federal funds used for grant aid.
