§850.219. Parent.
31 C.F.R. § 850.219
The term parent means, with respect to an entity:
A person who or which directly or indirectly holds more than 50 percent of—
The outstanding voting interest in the entity; or
The voting power of the board of the entity;
The general partner, managing member, or equivalent of the entity; or
The investment adviser to any entity that is a pooled investment fund, with “investment adviser” as defined in the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (15 U.S.C. 80b-2(a)(11)).
