§556.309. Does BOEM offer blocks in a sale that is not on the Five Year program schedule (called a Supplemental Sale)?
30 C.F.R. § 556.309
Except as provided in paragraph (c) of this section, BOEM may offer a block within a planning area included in the Five Year program in an otherwise unscheduled sale, if the block:
Received a bid that was rejected in an earlier sale;
Had a high bid that was forfeited in a scheduled sale; or
Is a development block subject to drainage.
For an unscheduled sale, BOEM may disclose the classification of the block as a development block.
Blocks in the Central or Western Gulf of America Planning Areas cannot be offered in a sale that is not on the schedule.
