§250.853. Safety sensors.
30 C.F.R. § 250.853
You must ensure that:
All shutdown devices, valves, and pressure sensors function in a manual reset mode;
Sensors with integral automatic reset are equipped with an appropriate device to override the automatic reset mode;
All pressure sensors are equipped to permit testing with an external pressure source; and
All level sensors are equipped to permit testing through an external bridle on all new vessel installations where possible, depending on the type of vessel for which the level sensor is used.
