§250.208. How must I conduct activities under an approved EP, DPP, or DOCD?

Compliance. You must conduct all of your lease and unit activities according to your approved EP, DPP, or DOCD and any approval conditions. If you fail to comply with your approved EP, DPP, or DOCD:
You may be subject to BSEE enforcement action, including civil penalties; and
The lease(s) involved in your EP, DPP, or DOCD may be forfeited or cancelled under 43 U.S.C. 1334(c) or (d). If this happens, you may not be entitled to compensation under 30 CFR 550.185(b) and 30 CFR 556.1102.
Emergencies. Nothing in this subpart or in your approved EP, DPP, or DOCD relieves you of or limits your responsibility to take appropriate measures to meet emergency situations. In an emergency situation, the Regional Environmental Officer may approve or require departures from your approved EP, DPP, or DOCD.
