§124.21. Termination.

28 C.F.R. § 124.21

(a)
Termination. Absent additional statutory authority, the authority of SLTT law enforcement and correctional agencies and their personnel under 6 U.S.C. 124n(a)(2) will terminate on December 31, 2031, as provided in 6 U.S.C. 124n(j)(2).
(b)
Savings. Termination under paragraph (a) of this section does not affect any obligation, proceeding, or liability that arose before the termination date. Recordkeeping, retention, audit, reporting, and enforcement obligations with respect to operations conducted before the termination date, and any administrative or civil proceeding arising from those operations, survive the termination of authority under this part and remain in effect until satisfied or otherwise resolved.
