§5.91. Use of the term “pure.”

27 C.F.R. § 5.91

Distilled spirits labels, containers, or packaging may not bear the word “pure” unless it:
(a)
Refers to a particular ingredient used in the production of the distilled spirits, and is a truthful representation about that ingredient;
(b)
Is part of the bona fide name of a permittee or retailer for which the distilled spirits are bottled; or
(c)
Is part of the bona fide name of the permittee that bottled the distilled spirits.
