§502.13. Indian tribe.

25 C.F.R. § 502.13

Indian tribe means any Indian tribe, band, nation, or other organized group or community of Indians that the Secretary recognizes as—

(a)

Eligible for the special programs and services provided by the United States to Indians because of their status as Indians; and

(b)

Having powers of self-government.
