§11.1200. Definitions.

25 C.F.R. § 11.1200

For purposes of this subpart:

Domestic violence means to inflict physical harm, bodily injury, or sexual assault, or the fear of imminent physical harm, bodily injury, or sexual assault on a family member.

Family member means any of the following:

(1)
A spouse;
(2)
A former spouse;
(3)
A person related by blood;
(4)
A person related by existing or prior marriage;
(5)
A person who resides or resided with the defendant;
(6)
A person with whom the defendant has a child in common; or
(7)
A person with whom the defendant is or was in a dating or intimate relationship. Parent means persons who have a child in common, regardless of whether they have been married or have lived together at any time.
