§581.3. Collecting the information. — Inbound Citations

(a) Within 30 days after the receipt of a completed property checklist from landholding agencies either in response to a quarterly canvass, or between canvasses, HUD will determine, using the criteria set forth in § 581.6 whether a property is suitable for use to assist the homeless and report its determination to the landholding agency. Properties that are under lease, contract, license, or agreement by which a Federal agency retains a real property interest or which are scheduled to become unutilized or underutilized will be reviewed for suitability no earlier than six months prior to the expected date when the property will become unutilized or underutilized.

(d) No later than February 15 of each year, HUD will publish in the Federal Register a list of all properties in the agency annual suitable property reports, reported to HUD pursuant to § 581.3(b).
