§556.600. Spectinomycin.

(a)

Acceptable daily intake (ADI). The ADI for total residue of spectinomycin is 25 µg/kg of body weight per day.

(b)

Tolerances. The tolerances for spectinomycin are:

(1)

Cattle.

(i)

Kidney (target tissue)— 4 ppm spectinomycin (marker residue).

(ii)

Muscle— 0.25 ppm.

(2)

Chickens and turkeys. Edible tissues (excluding eggs): 0.1 ppm.

(3)

Swine. Edible tissues: Not required.
