§556.286. Flunixin.

(a)

Acceptable daily intake (ADI). The ADI for total residue of flunixin is 0.72 µg/kg of body weight per day.

(b)

Tolerances. The tolerances for flunixin are:

(1)

Cattle.

(i)

Liver (target tissue)— 125 ppb flunixin free acid (marker residue).

(ii)

Muscle— 25 ppb flunixin free acid.

(iii)

Milk— 2 ppb 5-hydroxy flunixin (marker residue).

(2)

Swine.

(i)

Liver (target tissue)— 30 ppb flunixin free acid (marker residue).

(ii)

Muscle— 25 ppb flunixin free acid.
