§520.2335. Telmisartan.

(a)

Specifications. Each milliliter of solution contains 10 milligrams (mg) telmisartan.

(b)

Sponsor. See No. 000010 in § 510.600(c) of this chapter.

(c)

Conditions of use—

(1)

Amount. Administer 1.5 mg/kilogram (kg) (0.68 mg/pound (lb)) orally twice daily for 14 days, followed by 2 mg/kg (0.91 mg/lb) orally once daily.

(2)

Indications for use. For the control of systemic hypertension in cats.

(3)

Limitations. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
