§684.430. What individuals are eligible to receive supplemental youth services?

20 C.F.R. § 684.430

(a)
Participants in supplemental youth services activities must be:
(1)
American Indian, Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian as determined by the INA program grantee according to § 684.300(a);
(2)
Between the age of 14 and 24; and
(3)
A low-income individual as defined at WIOA sec. 3(36) except up to five percent of the participants during a program year in an INA youth program may not be low-income individuals provided they meet the eligibility requirements of paragraphs (a)(1) and (2) of this section.
(b)
For the purpose of this section, the term “low-income,” used with respect to an individual, also includes a youth living in a high-poverty area.
