§414.15. Application concurrent with vehicle operator license application.

An applicant for a vehicle operator license may also identify one or more sections of its application for which it seeks to obtain a safety element approval concurrently with a license. An applicant applying for a safety element approval concurrently with a license must—
Meet the applicable requirements of part 450;
Specify the sections of the license application that support the application for a safety element approval.
The scope of the safety element approval will be limited to what the application supports. The technical criteria for reviewing a safety element submitted as part of a vehicle operator license application are limited to the applicable requirements of part 450.
