§429.51. Commercial pre-rinse spray valves.

Sampling plan for selection of units for testing.
The requirements of § 429.11 apply to commercial prerinse spray valves; and
For each basic model of commercial prerinse spray valve, a sample of sufficient size must be randomly selected and tested to ensure that any represented value of flow rate must be greater than or equal to the higher of:
The mean of the sample, where—
The upper 95-percent confidence limit (UCL) of the true mean divided by 1.10, where:
Certification reports.
The requirements of § 429.12 are applicable to commercial prerinse spray valves; and
Pursuant to § 429.12(b)(13), a certification report must include the following public product-specific information: The flow rate, in gallons per minute (gpm), rounded to the nearest 0.01 gpm, and the corresponding spray force, in ounce-force (ozf), rounded to the nearest 0.1 ozf.
