The Office of Congressional Affairs—
Advises the Chairman, the Commission, and NRC staff on all NRC relations with Congress and the views of Congress toward NRC policies, plans and activities;
Maintains liaison with Congressional committees and members of Congress on matters of interest to NRC;
Serves as primary contact point for all NRC communications with Congress;
Coordinates NRC internal activities with Congress;
Plans, develops, and manages NRC's legislative programs; and
Monitors legislative proposals, bills, and hearings.
