RESOLUTION

Supporting the designation of 2026 as the International Year of the Woman Farmer to recognize and honor the critical role of women in agriculture.

That the Senate—

(1)

supports the designation of 2026 as the “International Year of the Woman Farmer”;

(2)

recognizes the critical role of women in agriculture; and

(3)

encourages all citizens to—

(A)

honor and recognize the contributions of women working in agriculture; and

(B)

celebrate the positive impact these women have on the food systems and agricultural workforce of the United States by encouraging and empowering women to—

(i)

pursue careers in agriculture, a high-demand and essential field;

(ii)

cultivate leadership opportunities; and

(iii)

help feed a growing and hungry world.
