Parkinson’s Protection for Firefighters Act
A BILL
To amend title 5, United States Code, to include Parkinson’s disease in the list of illnesses and diseases deemed to be proximately caused by employment in fire protection activities, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Inclusion of Parkinson’s disease in list of illnesses and diseases deemed to be proximately caused by employment in fire protection activities
Section 8143b(b) of title 5, United States Code, is amended—
in the subsection heading, by striking “diseased” and inserting “diseases”;
in paragraph (1), by striking “activedate” and inserting “active date”; and
in paragraph (2)—
by redesignating subparagraphs (L) through (P) as subparagraphs (M) through (Q), respectively; and
by inserting after subparagraph (K) the following:
“(L) Parkinson’s disease.”
