Truckee Meadows Public Lands Management Act
A BILL
To provide for economic development and conservation in Washoe County, Nevada, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Definitions
In this Act:
Conservation area— The term Conservation Area means a National Conservation Area established by section 501.
County— The term County means Washoe County, Nevada.
Indian tribe— The term Indian Tribe has the meaning given the term in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 5304).
Secretary— The term Secretary means—
the Secretary of the Interior; and
with respect to a unit of the National Wildlife Refuge System, the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.
Secretary concerned— The term Secretary concerned means—
the Secretary, with respect to land under the jurisdiction of the Secretary; and
the Secretary of Agriculture, with respect to National Forest System land.
State— The term State means the State of Nevada.
Wilderness area— The term wilderness area means a wilderness area designated by section 301(a).
