This Act may be cited as the “LNG Export Security Act”.

A BILL
To amend the Natural Gas Act to include a definition of the term public interest, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Definition of the term “public interest” under the Natural Gas Act
Section 2 of the Natural Gas Act (15 U.S.C. 717a) is amended by adding at the end the following:
“(12) Public interest means the consideration of—
“(A) the development of—
“(i) natural gas facilities in the United States; and
“(ii) the domestic natural gas supply;
“(B) domestic economic interests; and
“(C) national security interests.”
