American Competitiveness for Exports in Nuclear Energy Act of 2026
A BILL
To amend the Export-Import Bank Act of 1945 to exclude certain financing from the default rate of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, to permit market-competitive compensation for certain employees of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Exclusion of certain financing from calculation of default rate of Export-Import Bank of the United States
“(7) Exclusion of certain financing
“(A) In general—The Bank shall exclude financing described in subparagraph (B) from the calculation of the default rate under paragraph (1).
“(B) Financing described—Financing described in this subparagraph is financing provided—
“(i) for a transaction relating to a civil nuclear facility, material, or technology; or
“(ii) pursuant to section 2(l).”
Sec. 3 Compensation of employees of Export-Import Bank of the United States
“117. Compensation of employees
“The Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank of the United States may compensate not more than 100 employees of the Bank without regard to the provisions of chapter 51 or subchapter III or VIII of chapter 53 of title 5, United States Code.”
