This Act may be cited as the “Local Data for Better Conservation Act”.
Local Data for Better Conservation Act
A BILL
To amend the Endangered Species Act of 1973 with respect to the listing of threatened and endangered species, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Listing determinations
Section 4 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C. 1533) is amended by adding at the end the following:
“(j) State data—In making a determination to list, or delist, a species as a threatened species or an endangered species under this section, the Secretary shall accept and integrate State-collected data.”
