This Act may be cited as the “Pregnant and Postpartum Women Treatment Reauthorization Act”.
Pregnant and Postpartum Women Treatment Reauthorization Act
A BILL
To reauthorize the program to support residential treatment programs for pregnant and postpartum women, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Reauthorization of program
Section 508 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 290bb–1) is amended—
in subsection (d)(11)(C), by striking “providing health services” and inserting “providing health care services”;
in subsection (g)—
by inserting “a plan describing” after “will provide”; and
by adding at the end the following: “Such plan may include a description of how such applicant will target outreach to women disproportionately impacted by maternal substance use disorder.”; and
in subsection (s), by striking “$29,931,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023” and inserting “$38,931,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 through 2029”.
